The Raffle raised £630.00 with prizes donated by Silver Trees and a great many of the private owners, wine, port, brandy, whisky, chocolates, baskets of goodies for a TV night in, and hand made novelty items and a quilt were selected with glee, even a bottle of gas and wooden bench were picked up and carried away!!
Coffee and Cake & Hot Dogs and Burgers together with drinks were offered by Barb and Mal Tuck and their family, (3 generations in fact) numerous private owners on the park baked cakes previously, served tea and coffee on the day and helped in many ways to raise over £383.00 for the food.
Sue Owen and her Mum have been making hand made Birthday and Christmas (it`s never to early) cards for some weeks previously and together with those sold on the day raised over £158.00.
Also a collection tin that had been in Terry`s bakery and was brought down on the day raised £31.00 for which we are all grateful.
So over £1,200.00 (£1203.62 to be precise) was raised on a day that was enjoyable and sociable and dry!, even though during the preceding week we were worried about rain clouds appearing on the Saturday, it must have been that our loved ones`s, who we miss and who were the inspiration for this day, must surely have been looking down on us.
