On Saturday, 28th August 2021, after a two-year break due to Covid-19 restrictions, Silver Trees Holiday Park finally held a fundraiser. This year, Cancer Research was our chosen charity, following several years supporting Macmillan Cancer Care.
The day started with coffee and cake, followed by a couple of rounds of prize bingo. Later, everyone enjoyed burgers and hot dogs, with enthusiastic support from our private holiday home owners and local friends. More bingo games rounded off the event, all under beautiful weather. All food and prizes were generously donated by our team and volunteers, without whom these events wouldn’t be possible.
We raised a significant amount thanks in part to funds originally set aside for a defibrillator to be placed in our disused payphone kiosk. However, thanks to the generous donation of a defibrillator by Simon Bird, Headmaster of King Edward VI School for Boys in Handsworth, Birmingham, these funds were redirected to Cancer Research. We are truly grateful for this wonderful support.

All of the above highlights Silver Trees Holiday Park as a truly unique destination, nestled in the beautiful countryside of Cannock Chase—an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It’s the wonderful community on our park that has made such successful fundraising possible.
